Maid of the Forth

Enjoy a 3 hour evening cruise featuring live music, our legendary Jazz cruises have been running for 30 years now and still prove extremely popular with audiences of all ages.

Our resident Jazz Band, the "Maid of the Forth Stompers", who celebrate their 30th year playing on board this year really know how to entertain you on your cruise, they also are a wealth of information about the local landmarks that you can see from the boat and so provide great commentary of what you can see in between songs.  They play a mixture of dixieland and traditional Jazz and they are open to any requests and frequently play some great sing along songs for you all to join in with.

In 2009 we discovered a brilliant local Folk band 'Pure Malt' who played a couple of nights on the boat, due to their popularity it has become a regular event on the boat.  They play a brilliant range of traditional and contemporary Scottish and Irish folk music and create a fantastic atmosphere, especially when the whole boat is singing along to traditional classics such as 'Whiskey in the Jar'.

The majority of our evening cruises depart from the Hawes Pier, South Queensferry, but occasionally when the tides suit we offer departures from Alloa Quayside, where we cruise upriver along the 'windings' all the way up to Stirling.

On all of our evening cruises we offer an optional tasty BBQ Ribeye Steak Baguette/Salad Supper to enjoy on board during the cruise. (must be pre-booked)
